Yesterday, nearly 200.000 students worked for women’s education in Bangladesh. The information campaign and its flying super hero was created at A&O this summer.
Every year, the campaign triggers students to work for charity as well informing them about the project. Thousands of campaign magazines, stickers, posters, t-shirts and more has been distributed to schools all over the country!
The Bengali super hero and campaign concept was created as a fresh parody on cartoon heroes from the 80s. Having acquired new knowledge, the Bengali girl has received super powers and flies high above mosques and church towers in Dhaka. The ethnic clothing and bollywood colours ad wit at the same time as the girl remains an upright figure.
So far we are very pleased with the result, and looking forward to follow the developments in Bangladesh. – The campaign has been very successful, and that is indeed thanks to you, says Linda Lothe from the OD secretariat.
