«Norway as a knowledge Hub in the Global Maritime Industry" is Norway’s largest ever private investment in maritime knowledge development. The Norwegian Shipowners' Association and Oslo Maritime Network asked us to deliver their visual identity and website.
-Norway has a long maritime tradition, and a serious potential to become a global knowledge hub, says Torger Reve, professor at BI.
Together with the Norwegian Shipowners' Association and Oslo Maritime Network he has launched the initiative to establish 20 maritime professorships at leading academic institutions. So far the industry has given 14 professorships. Wilh. Wilhelmsen, Leif Höegh & Co, Det Norske Veritas og Ulstein Gruppen are among the sponsors.
We worked closedly with the Norwegian Shipowners' Association and Oslo Maritime Network to define Knowledge Hub's logo and visual identity. One of the objectives were to demonstrate innovation at the same time as maintaining the long traditions of the Norwegian maritime industry.
Knowledgehub.no is fresh, serious and functional. The website has academic emphasis and demonstrates the close cooperation between leading academic institutions and industry.
The website is powered by the cms tool MODx. The tool is both intuitive and flexible for administrators, and we have custom made functionality which syncronises all links between professorship, academic institutions and maritime industry.
