Golden graphics at holmenkollen

Holmenkollen Restaurant has been renovated for the world ski championship in Oslo. The audience is inviter for after ski, live music and drinks. A&O Design has delivered the logo and produced the new visual identity on golden paper.

The renovated restaurant is emerging as a beautifull Scandinavian / French Alpine style venue. The location, overlooking the city of Oslo, is unique. The hill itself is the highlight of the graphic identity. The abstract shape of the logo symbolises the idea of "hight" and the colour palette is inspired by rocks and fresh air.

Owner and chef Anders Ellburg asked us to design interchangeable menus that were shaped like table cloths. It means the menus are part of the restaurant's exclusive interior, and we have produced them on golden paper. Especially in the evenings, the sparkling menus complement woodwork, and live fire. The menus, receipt holders and business cards have tall formats and acute angles in common. This also epmhasises the hill where the restaurant is situated.
